HowTo Manage Tricky Deadlines

HowTo Manage Tricky Deadlines

Time management is always an issue for students who are busy with tricky deadlines. Sometimes it may seem that there is not enough time to do everything that you need to. In this case, time management skills must be valuable for students to balance the conflicting demands of time for study, leisure, and working.

Setting Goals

Having specific and defined goals can lead you to go for actions. You must examine your present situation and how to achieve your goals; therefore, actions can be defined effectively. Have a contingency plan or alternative route to your goal in case you have to change your plans due to unpredictable circumstances.

Listing your works and deadlines

You should have a reminder system to tell you, when you need to do what and when to start to do which assignments. Carry a pen and an academic diary wherever you go, or my suggestion is to use Google calendar, which is a very useful tool if you have a smartphone.

A day list of tasks that need to be done is an essential part of action planning.  Prioritise items on the list into important/not important and urgent/non-urgent. Urgent or important tasks can be highlighted.

Organising your time

Identifying areas of your life where you are wasting time. You should always examine everything you do for a week to see how you use your time, only then your time management can be improved.

Always be tidy, it can lead you to work efficiently, as it is hard to do so if you need to find certain things which are hidden on a messy desk.

Schedule and take actions so that you can meet deadlines in good time. Do not  leave everything until the last minute.

It would be great if you have a time log, so you can be clear on your to-do list.

Let us, studyPR.co.uk, know exactly how you plan your time effectively.
